Visitor Policy

The situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve and changes are occurring rapidly. As a result, we are restricting visitation across all of our facilities beginning today, December 29, 2021. These restrictions include:

  • No visitors are permitted in our Emergency Departments, including in the waiting rooms.
  • Visitors will not be permitted in inpatient areas unless clinically necessary as determined by the health care team.
  • In the maternity units, patients are permitted to have one support person with them. That person may stay through the labor and until the mother is discharged from the hospital.
  • For outpatient (non-hospital) appointments, one support person may accompany the patient if their physical health requires assistance.
  • For outpatient (non-hospital) surgeries, one support person is permitted to drop the patient off for check-in and then pick up the patient when they are ready to go home.

Any approved visitor to our facilities must pass a risk assessment screening before entry, which includes a series of questions related to travel and respiratory symptoms.

We recognize that interacting with friends and family can be helpful to the healing process, and strongly encourage everyone to use other forms of support such as phone calls, video chats on cell phones, or other mobile devices. We are sensitive to the separation this restriction causes our patients and their loved ones, but we believe this measure of protection is essential at this time to keep people safe.

At Crozer Health, our top priority is the health and safety of our patients, their families, and our team members. We are continuously evaluating all guidelines and procedures and adjusting as needed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please Remember

Emergency departments are open 24/7 at these hospitals, and at Springfield Hospital.

Please check the CDC's COVID-19 page for the latest guidelines on what to do if you've been exposes, tested positive, etc.
