DCMH provides emergency care to nearly 40,000 patients each year. DCMH's Emergency Department is one of the largest in Delaware County and features:

33 treatment bays, 28 of which are private rooms, increasing patient privacy and comfort.

Fast Track treatment area. Designed for patients with less complex problems, Fast Track provides quick and easy care so patients can be on their way as soon as possible.

Experienced staff of physicians led by Richard Hamilton, M.D., Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Round-the-clock access to specialists in a variety of fields, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and surgery.

A clinical nurse educator who mentors and provides continuing education to ED nurses on all the latest care to ensure patients receive the highest quality nursing care.

A patient navigator who assists ED patients with any follow-up care and services they may need.

The latest advancements in emergency preparedness, including a state-of-the art decontamination room for patients who have been exposed to hazardous materials.

A large, gracious patient waiting area with a specially designed play area for children.

An exclusive parking area designed specifically for ED patients and their families.

An ambulance entrance that is separate from the walk-in emergency entrance to enhance patient privacy.
