Curriculum & Schedules

Our didactic curriculum is strong across all disciplines. Attending Teaching Rounds occur five days per week on all services in each department. The year is divided into 13 four-week blocks:

  • 4 blocks of Internal Medicine floor services
  • 1 block of Pediatric Ambulatory
  • 2 blocks of Critical Care
  • 1 block of Emergency Medicine
  • 1 block of “Night Float”
  • 4 blocks of Elective

Additionally, Transitional First-Year Residency Program residents participate in:

  • Attending Teaching Rounds - five days per week on all services in each department
  • Faculty Lead Morning Report - four days a week
  • Daily Didactic Series - sponsored by all departments in a variety of formats
  • Morbidity and Mortality Conference
  • Journal Club
  • Grand Rounds

How to Apply

Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), which is administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges. AAMC developed ERAS to transmit residency applications, letters of recommendation, dean's letters, transcripts, and other supporting credentials from applicants and medical schools to residency directors using the Internet.
