How to Apply

Program Requirements

Applicants for the Internal Medicine Residency Program must be one of the following:

  1. A graduate of an LCME-accredited institution.
  2. A graduate of a non-LCME institution with a USMLE score higher than 205 on Steps 1 and 2 CK on the first attempt, must have passed Step 2 CS on the first attempt, AND with a graduation date of 2015 or later. ECFMG certification must be valid. 
  3. A medical school graduate currently enrolled in a Transitional or Preliminary residency program within the United States.
  4. Osteopathic applicants must pass COMLEX Step 1 on the first attempt. Be a 2018-2019 graduate of an AOA-accredited medical school.

Filing Instructions

Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), which is administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges. AAMC developed ERAS to transmit residency applications, letters of recommendation, dean's letters, transcripts, and other supporting credentials from applicants and medical schools to residency directors using the Internet. Application deadline is December 31st.
